The Founding Story

A father and son. One unsolved problem. One company built to fix it.

Travis Piepho started Prospectr after a frustrating observation: most businesses had great products and services but terrible pipelines. They relied on referrals, had no outbound motion, and spent money on marketing that never tied back to revenue. That was as true for B2C operators - consumer service companies, home improvement, solar, franchise systems - as it was for B2B. The problem was universal.

Systematic, measurable, scalable outreach was the answer. But it had to be done right: the right ICP, the right data, the right copy, the right sending infrastructure. Dan Piepho, with 41 years of experience founding, operating, and exiting more than 16 successful B2B and B2C companies, jumped on board with Travis's vision. For four years, Dan and Travis built and refined the essential elements of what would become Prospectr's core methodology. Travis worked out of Seattle while Dan built from Minneapolis. They tested targeting approaches, copy frameworks, data procurement methods, and follow-up sequences on real clients across both B2B and B2C markets before committing to any single approach.
